The starting point
Most of the practices we work with are moving away from something — an old server, an unsupported provider, a system that's grown past what it can handle. Ferro Talent Partners were different. Two directors were leaving a larger agency to start their own, and on day one they genuinely had nothing: no office IT, no server, not even a shared way to work from the same candidate database.
They'd already chosen a recruitment CRM, but running it meant someone would need somewhere secure and reliable to host it — and neither director wanted candidate and client data sitting on personal laptops from week one.
Understanding before building
We talked through their plans before touching anything: expected headcount over the first year, how quickly they intended to hire consultants, which CRM and back-office software they'd chosen, and what data protection expectations their clients and candidates would reasonably have of a new agency handling their information.
That shaped an environment sized sensibly for two people today, but genuinely ready to add a third or fourth consultant without any rebuilding.
What we built
We designed and deployed a managed Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environment with FSLogix profile containers from a standing start — no legacy setup to work around, no old data to untangle. The directors' chosen CRM was installed and configured centrally from the outset, alongside payroll and back-office software and Microsoft 365.
Zero to live in days
A right-sized RDS environment built from nothing and ready before the agency's official launch date.
Your CRM, hosted centrally
Candidate and client data lives inside the managed environment from day one, not scattered across personal laptops.
FSLogix profiles
Consistent, fast logins for every consultant, from the very first one.
Grows as you hire
Adding a new consultant means adding a user, not buying and configuring another machine.
Starting from a blank page
With no legacy environment to migrate, the entire project was about building it right the first time rather than working around old decisions. That meant no out-of-hours cutover window to plan around — instead, the focus was making sure everything was configured, tested and ready before the directors' first day of trading.
Discovery & planning
Headcount plans, CRM and back-office software, and data protection expectations mapped out before any build work started.
Build
RDS environment designed and deployed with FSLogix, sized for two directors today with clear headroom for hiring.
CRM & software configured
Recruitment CRM, payroll and back-office software installed and configured centrally, alongside Microsoft 365.
Live before day one
The agency opened for business on a fully working platform, with support ready as they made their first hires.
The result
Ferro Talent Partners launched without ever owning a server or a single piece of office infrastructure. Candidate and client data has been centrally managed since the agency's very first day, and every consultant they've hired since has been added to the platform in minutes rather than requiring new hardware or a fresh setup.
